Freedom of religion
Day of the dead is celebrated this week with festivals and exhibits. They celebrate the ones in there family that died and there ancestors. This festival is supported by the freedom of religion which is found in amendment one. Day of the dead is celebrated in north and south America.
In class we are studying rights retained by citizens. Freedom of religion is important because in order to have a fair and equal economy. In class we have also learned that back then in medieval times that the king controlled there religions and daily lives. The founding fathers did not want that to happen again so they created the Bill of Rights. This is related to this article because day of the dead supports a different belief and just because the president celebrates it doesn't mean everyone cannot celebrate it.
Freedom of religion is shown everywhere. I know people that are Jewish, catholic and other religions. They have the ability to worship and express there religion. But outside the U.S they are forced to believe in different religions. Take Iraq for example, terrorism is based off of some crazy belief and if anyone denied it, they die.
I think that freedom of religion is very important. Its important because the founding fathers wanted a nation for the people. So in order to form that more perfect union they must give citizens rights to be themselves and let them worship differently and freely. Just like day of the dead, every year millions celebrate there dead family ancestors, now imagine if they were forced to stop there celebration. They would get angry and rebel, which will cause wars and rip the country apart just like Iraq. So now you see why freedom of religion is important.
freedom of religion is important and will always be
